Turtle and Tortoise
Turtle and Tortoise are very similar. For one thing , they are shelled reptiles. They both can hear under water, walk slowly, and have a shell - a boxlike structure that consists of an upper part and a lower part. The shell bulkiness prevents them from rapid movement. Penyu dan Kura-kura sangat mirip. Untuk satu hal, mereka adalah reptil yang bercangkang. Turtles and Tortoises are famed for their longevity. Some of them have lived in captivity for more than 100 years. Mating occurs on land or in the water, according to the habitat of the species
Penyu dan Kura-kura terkenal karena umur panjangnya. Beberapa dari mereka telah hidup dalam penangkaran selama lebih dari 100 tahun. Perkawinan terjadi di darat atau di air, sesuai dengan habitat spesies
Despite their similarity, Turtle and Tortoise have observable differences. The Turtle is mostly aquatic , mostly living in lakes, ponds, and oceans although the female lays eggs in shore.
Terlepas dari kesamaan mereka, Penyu dan Kura kura memiliki perbedaan yang dapat diamati. Penyu sebagian besar hidup di air, sebagian besar hidup di danau, kolam, dan lautan meskipun betina bertelur di pantai.
On the other hand, The Tortoise mostly lives in swamps and deserts. To easy it’s swimming, the Turtle has webbed feet. To walk in deserts, the Tortoise has thick and webbed feet, preventing the animal from sinking into the sand.
Di sisi lain, Kura –kura sebagian besar hidup di rawa dan gurun. Untuk memudahkannya berenang, penyu memiliki kaki berselaput. Untuk berjalan di padang pasir, Kura-kura memiliki kaki yang tebal dan berselaput, mencegah binatang itu dari tenggelam ke pasir.
Turtles have no teeth, and many species of them eat both animals and vegetables. They eat fish and weeds . Tortoises are different. They are herbivorous, meaning that they feed mostly on plants.
Penyu tidak memiliki gigi, dan banyak spesies dari mereka memakan hewan dan sayuran. Mereka makan ikan dan gulma. Kura-kura berbeda. Mereka herbivora, yang berarti bahwa mereka sebagian besar mekan tanaman.
